Chrome Motors introduces pre-listing vehicle inspection reports
Chrome Motors has introduced a new pre-listing inspection report for every vehicle offered for sale, giving customers a clearer picture of a car’s condition before they even step onto the forecourt.
The new process means that every vehicle is inspected before it is advertised, with a detailed check covering 36 key areas across the car. The inspection looks at all the things buyers naturally want to know about - from the condition of the interior and exterior through to the battery, wheels, brakes, engine components and the underside of the vehicle.
The checks cover six main areas:
· Interior condition including seats, lighting and fittings
· Exterior bodywork including scratches, marks and bumps
· Battery condition
· Wheels and brakes
· Under-vehicle components
· Engine checks including oil levels and air filters
Each inspection produces a clear report with simple grading so customers can understand exactly what has been checked.
The results fall into three categories:
1. Checked and OK
2. May need attention in the future
3. Requires immediate attention
Where anything requires immediate attention, Chrome Motors will address the issue before the vehicle is listed for sale.
Danny from Chrome Motors said the idea is simple to give buyers transparency and confidence from the start.
“Buying a used car should feel straightforward. The inspection report lets people see exactly what we’ve looked at and the condition of the car before they come to view it. It removes a lot of the uncertainty that people often feel when buying a vehicle.”
Inspection reports will be available for customers to view alongside each vehicle listing, providing an additional layer of reassurance and supporting Chrome Motors’ commitment to high standards and honest customer service.
The reports also help set expectations if a buyer chooses to arrange their own independent pre-purchase inspection.
“If someone wants to have the car inspected independently, that’s absolutely fine,” Danny adds. “The point is that they already know what the report is likely to say.”
The introduction of pre-listing inspection reports reflects Chrome Motors’ ongoing commitment to raising standards and making the used car buying process clearer, simpler and more transparent for customers.
